The History
Polima is one of the world’s oldest manufacturers of core plugs, with roots in Jönköping’s historic Vulcan match factory. In the 1960s, the company began turning match production leftovers into high-quality core plugs. As demand grew, so did we—expanding into pallet blocks in the following decade and later developing innovative door panels and injection-molded products using our own sustainable RE composite.
In 1997, Polima was born under new ownership. Since 2000, we’ve proudly operated as a family-run business with production in both Sweden and Poland, committed to innovation, quality, and sustainability.
